Fire door Inspection

In compliance with the British Standard 8214, for the installation and maintenance of fire doors in England. This is a passive fire protection mechanism designed for fire resistance up to a minimum of 30mins and up to 120minutes. It is a legal requirement for all non-domestic and commercial properties, public buildings and some categories of dwellings such as HMOs and communal areas of block of flats. A properly designed and installed fire door serves to protect lives and meet minimum safety requirements including presence of smokes seals, intumescent strips, BS/EN 3hinges minimum and other peculiar features including standard vision panels, automatic shutters etc. with appropriates signages where required.
